After six long months, I am finally finished!!!
I'll be presenting my project to a panel of judges this Friday, so hopefully I can present well and show off my video. It's such a relief to be done! But the whole thing was so fun to put together...Hopefully any future animations I make will have a slightly more coherent storyline and a not-as-crazily-abstract twist.
I'd like to thank everyone that helped me get it started. Thanks to you all, I managed to finish all four minutes of the animation successfully!
Hooray!

I'm still alive...
HOOORAAY, I got my senior project approved! I had to make a few changes to the senior project letter format, but other than that, I got the OK to "start working on it." To make it better, I have a computer class this year; we get assigned programs to learn how to use, and I talked with the teacher to get Flash on my computer. I'll be able to work on the animation for an hour a day, five days a week! Now I can be sure to not procrastinate. (on the senior project, at least.)
School's been extremely busy so far, and I can only expect it to get busier. I'm taking two and a half AP courses to try and maintain the #1 status in my class, but I have two rivals who are competing with me...so we shall see who stands victorious at the end. :]

The last day
Even now, it hasn't quite sunk in that today was my last day. It feels like I'll be going right back to work on Monday, and people just felt like saying exuberant goodbyes for the weekend.
I would like to thank the Wubbzy crew for their support and overall awesomeness; you all made my internship a wonderful learning experience and a lot of fun. I would especially like to thank Frank, James, and Steve for taking the time to go over and make notes on my storyboard; without the stickynotes, my animation would be a mess. And thanks to Frank, Phil, and Avi (intern #4), I now have the ability to turn my storyboard into an animation. Thank you all very much.
I'll continue to update my blog with my status in my animation, along with anything interesting that happens in my life. If possible, I'll be visiting again during the winter, hopefully with a completed animation in hand.

City and Factory Scenes
It's a little glitchy, but it works for the most part! The city background pan will have robots wandering/flying around, so it's not as boring as it seems. :] Comments/suggestions? Please comment!
*Note: Frank and James kindly made some suggestions on how to make the scene make more sense, so I'll be posting the updated version later.
Bill Chernega
Name: Bill Chernega
Occupation: Editor
Job Description: He takes the animation sent from Canada and cuts it to time so that it meets the Nickelodeon requirements (for example, so that the episode has room for commercial breaks). For him, one episode has a six-week cycle. For the first two weeks, the episode is cut to time. For the next two weeks, the picture is locked (the images are the final product.) For the final two weeks, the color is corrected, and the animation is put through quality control to check for glitches.
Past Experiences: He has been an editor for a year, and was an editor for Eon Kid at Warner Brothers aside from Wubbzy. He was also a post-production assistant for Turok.
Interesting Facts: He writes screenplay ideas and short stories, and also likes board games (the weirder the better). He is a rabid Nintendo fan that has all of the Nintendo systems except for Virtual Boy. A cartoon elf version of himself appears briefly in the Wubbzy Easter episode.
Dream Vacation: The moon. "Not in a fancy hotel or anything; I just want to jump around and write my name in the dirt."
Steffie Lucchesi
Name: Steffie Lucchesi
Occupation: Animatic Editor

Past Experiences: She was an editor on Eon Kid, and was also a post-production coordinator for Slacker Cats. She was also a retake and media coordinator for Hellboy Animated DVDs.
Interests: Disney cartoons, drawing, script-writing, ice skating
Dream Vacation: Disney World or an English-speaking country
Kevin Frank
Name: Kevin Frank
Occupation: Storyboard Artist
Job Description: He takes the script of an episode and draws it out into a storyboard; in essence, the words turn into pictures that acts as a guide for the animators.
Past Experiences: He started his work at Filmation as a layout artist in 1980, and then became a storyboard artist. He worked on shows such as Fat Albert and He Man, along with Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, and the Tarzan TV show at Warner Brothers.
Interests: Reading, going to movies, gardening
Dream Vacation: A month in Hawaii, painting and relaxing
